1. Data Collection & Security

No Personal Information Collected: Wealth Lab does not require user accounts, logins, or registration. We do not collect or store your name, email address, phone number, or physical location on any server.
Local Calculation Execution: All financial planning calculations (SIP, Lumpsum, CAGR, Inflation, SWP, etc.) are computed directly on your mobile device. None of your input values or results are sent to remote services.
SharedPreferences Local Storage: The app stores your preferences (theme type, custom tax rates, selected country/region, selected currency, number system, tax presets and holding period, haptic toggles), calculation favorites, and history logs locally on your device. This data remains private to you and is instantly cleared if you uninstall the app.
Region & Currency Defaults: To set sensible defaults, the app reads your device's region/language setting (for example "en_US") and stores the resulting country, currency, number system and tax preset only on your device. This value is never transmitted to us or any server, and you can change it at any time in Settings → Country & Currency.
Security & Data Deletion: All calculations and history are stored locally. Since we do not transmit this data to our servers, we do not possess a user database and cannot delete or query your records upon request. To delete all local data, you must clear the app cache/data or uninstall the app from your device.
Sandbox Isolation Security: Your local settings, preferences, and calculations are kept isolated from other apps on your device via the operating system's native application sandbox (Android/iOS), ensuring local data security.
Direct Contact Inquiries: The application itself does not solicit, require, or collect your email address or other contact information. If you voluntarily contact us directly via email for support, we will only use your email address and message details to address your inquiry.
Data Controller & Operator: The developers of Wealth Lab act as the Data Controller only for any direct support emails you send to us. We do not act as a data controller or processor for any in-app calculations or input data, as all such data is kept strictly offline within your device's local storage.

2. Google AdMob & Ads

To offer our calculations for free, Wealth Lab displays advertisements integrated via the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). In order to serve ads, Google may automatically collect and process certain device information, including:

Advertising IDs: Google AdMob accesses the Advertising ID (GAID) on Android devices or Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS. These help prevent fraud, limit ad repetition, and support personalized advertising. You can reset these identifiers in your OS settings.
Network & Location Details: Your IP address is used to determine approximate location (country/city level) to serve geo-relevant advertisements and secure network communication.
Technical Diagnostics: Google collects app crash files, performance latency, ad interactions (clicks, impressions), and device specs (manufacturer, OS version, carrier) for quality assurance.
App Store Data Disclosures: For Apple App Store and Google Play Console declarations, the only data transmitted is handled by AdMob. No user calculations or financial inputs are uploaded or shared.
User Control & Opt-Out: You can opt-out of personalized advertisements at any time by turning off "Personalized Ads" in the app (Settings → Privacy Options), or by resetting/deleting your advertising identifier in your device operating system settings (Android Google Settings or iOS Privacy Settings). AdMob will then serve generic, non-personalized ads.
International Data Transfers: Google AdMob operates globally and may transfer, store, and process ad-related device telemetry in the United States and other countries. Google utilizes Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other lawful transfer mechanisms to ensure appropriate safeguards are maintained for international data transfers.

3. International Compliance

We believe that privacy is a global fundamental right. The app is designed to align with strict global frameworks:

India Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023
Compliant
European Union & UK GDPR / UK GDPR & ePrivacy Directive
Standard Protection Active
United States (California) CCPA / CPRA — California Consumer Privacy Act
No Personal Data Sold
Global Underage Protections COPPA (US) & GDPR Article 8 (EEA)
Child Privacy Protected
GDPR & UK GDPR (Europe & United Kingdom)
Legal Bases: We rely on your explicit Consent to serve personalized ads. General diagnostic logs and security safeguards are processed under Legitimate Interest.
Your Rights: EEA/UK users have rights to access, erase, or object to processing. Because we do not collect PII, you exercise these rights directly: delete local app data via device settings (erases calculation history), manage or withdraw ad consent from Settings → Privacy Options where applicable, or reset/delete your advertising ID in your phone system settings (erases AdMob profiles).
CCPA / CPRA (California, USA)
Sale and Share Transparency: We do not sell your personal financial data. Sharing device advertising IDs with AdMob may be deemed a "sale" or "sharing" under California law. You can opt-out by turning off "Personalized Ads" in the app (Settings → Privacy Options) or by limiting ad tracking in your iOS/Android system settings.
Your Rights: California residents hold the right to delete, know, or opt-out. To delete your data, clear the app data or uninstall the app. To opt-out of ad sharing, turn off "Personalized Ads" in the app (Settings → Privacy Options) or limit ad tracking in your iOS/Android system settings.
Age Restrictions & Child Privacy (COPPA & GDPR)
Underage Privacy Protection: Wealth Lab is not targeted at or intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 in the United States (COPPA compliance) or under 16 in the EEA/United Kingdom (GDPR Article 8 compliance).
LGPD (Brazil) & PIPEDA (Canada)
Consensual Processing: We uphold the core tenets of information security, purpose specification, and user access rights required under Brazilian and Canadian privacy directives.
DPDPA (India - Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023)
Consent-Based Telemetry: Under India's DPDPA, processing of device identifiers (like advertising IDs and coarse IP geo-location) is done exclusively for legitimate, consent-based advertising. You can withdraw your consent at any time by resetting your advertising ID, disabling personalized ads, or uninstalling the application.
Grievance Redressal: If you have any grievances or questions regarding data processing in India, you can raise them by emailing us at our support address.
Privacy Act 1988 & APPs (Australia)
Australian Privacy Principles Compliance: We handle personal telemetry (device details collected by AdMob) in accordance with the APPs. Australian users have the right to access and seek correction of personal info (exercised by deleting local data or configuring system settings) and may submit complaints to our support email.
